The other night I was eating some Thai food and was dared to eat a spoon full of ground chili powder for 30 bucks…damn right I downed it! And sure enough I was sick most of the night and had a rough morning if you know what I mean. The unit of measure of the degree of hotness a sauce dishes out is a scoville unit. Tobasco ranks in with around 2100 scoville units. Well the Blair’s 16 Million Reserve Crystals boggles the mind with a whopping…you guessed it…16 million scovilles. What is bottled is 1mL of pharmaceutical grade Capsaicin crystals. Maybe not so much food as poison but it takes the cake as world’s hottest hot sauce.
