Asus announced that it will be releasing its newest version of the tiny Eee in the US this April. The Eee PC 900 will feature an upgraded screen size (8.9in up from 7in) with a higher resolution (1024×600), 1GB of Ram. You will also be able to choose between an 8GB SSD HD running Windows XP or a 8-16 GB SSD HD running Linux. It gained a little weight, up to 2.2 lbs (fatty!), and it will be a little thicker.
Things that haven’t changed…
- Same clamshell design
- It still comes Wifi capable (802.11b/g)
- Sports 3 USB Ports
- Has a built in SD Card Reader
While I’d like to see a built in EVDO or 3G card this is definitely a big upgrade on a small computer!
