Timex has paired the rugged styling of classic 1960’s Infantry watches with useful and unique analog features on the Expedition E-Instruments series. The E-Compass is cased in titanium with a dedicated electronic compass hand that can be set to the local magnetic declination. The Timex Expedition E-Instrument Compass is the outdoorsman answer to function and taste with water resistance to 100m (hope I never find myself that deep), 3 year battery life, bi-directional outer tuning ring, and Quick Date feature. The E-Instruments Series brings “proprietary technology developed at Timex’s Quartz Analog Design Center in Pforzheim, Germany” to your wrist.
Timex’s Expedition watches come available with a number of options from stainless or titanium case, leather, metal or rubber band, and black or white face plates. The Expedition Series also offers other outdoor gadgetry including tide clock and temperature readout. The E-Tide and E-Temp also have dedicated 4th hand analog displays of your choosing. The new brand, launched in tandem with Conservation Alliance and American alpinist Conrad Anker, titled Return to the Outdoors is aimed at aligning corporate entities and conservation efforts towards protecting wild habitats in North America. The Timex Expedition looks great at work or on the town but offers the function and information needed in the backcountry.
