Straight from last seasons American Inventor comes the Gladiator GarageWorks Claw bike storage system. This is one of those geniusly simple ideas that makes you say "Why didn’t I think of that?!?!" Well you’re no genius… but if you have a bike that’s in the way you’d be smart to pick up one of these bad boys.
How it works: Mount it to your ceiling and the claw rests in the open position. When you want to get your bike up off the ground and out of the way, simply lift it up and push the tire against the round yellow pad. That triggers the claw to close and hold your bike. To get it down, same thing, push the bike up and depress the pad and viola… the claw magically releases your bike.
