eUPGRADER Goes to Mount Rainier

eUPGRADER hit the high country at Washington state’s Mount Rainier this spring to put some gear to the test. Rainier stands 14,411” and is the most glaciated peak in the lower 48. Our crack team of alpinists took the Gibraltar Ledges Route after traversing the Muir snowfield. Crevasse risk was minimal due to the 700” accumulation of winter snow but with a climbing gain of roughly 9000’ we had our work cut out for us. Avalanche risk was high due to increased daytime temperatures and direct sun. The trip was epic, the scenery amazing, and the legs were cooked! Check out our video which is sure to get you pumped for your next outdoor adventure. Also, thanks to Petzl and Cloudveil…check back in for our gear reviews coming soon!
